Slander is a hard rockin', heavy hittin' five piece kick in the ass!! Formed in December 2001 the band has never looked back! Mixing elements of the '70's, 80's, 90's and todays sound Slander brings a unique quality to the scene. A quality that cannot be ignored! Slander is ready to challenge todays mainstream sound! In the spring of 2002 Slander released their first 5 song EP entitled Nothin's Free. The band has received regional airplay as well as in Missouri and Florida. Slander has been featured guest on such local music shows as WDNS 93.3 Homecookin',WPTQ 103.7 the Sound Source/Local Axcess, and Western Kentucky University's Revolution 91.7 the Local Shots! Based out of the Bowling Green/Glasgow Kentucky area the band has rocked Kentucky and Tennesee and are planning on spreading the rock NATIONWIDE!! Slander competed in a 14 band battle at the Mark Black Battle of the Bands and brought home the third place prize!
