The John Benders are a Seattle-based band comprised of four longtime friends dedicated to writing music that pushes the limits of just how well a song can be written. The collaborative spirit of the band affords them the opportunity to be creating continually. The band is hard working and determined to succeed in touching people the same way that their favorite bands have touched them. After a couple of attempts of solidifying the perfect lineup Mark (guitar/vocals), Bert (guitar/vocals), and Ronnie (drums) finally asked Otis to fill the spot of bass player. Once this was settled they found themselves in a position to write the songs that they intended to write from the very beginning. Soon after, The Benders headed into the studio to record the demo for the song "4-Count Phil". The Benders intention is to bring emotion and honesty back to life in music. That is what the first single "4-Count Phil" is all about. Call it a diatribe, a tirade, it doesn't matter; it just expresses the desperation that everyone should be feeling when the subject of our lackluster music scene comes up. With the help of their friends in the local music scene they will bring it back to life. The band is currently gearing up to record a full-length album to be followed by extensive touring.
