Puttenjolly originated as a single album produced with equipment housed at The Evergreen State College, Olympia, Washington.
The material ranges from breakbeats w/ chants, to electro, to ambient.
The three MP3 selections were chosen for brevity (and message) -- most of the album is of equal or higher quality.
The track dedicated to the memory of Thomas Townsend Brown (flying saucer engineer), includes a sample from "The Outer Limits" radio program.
Other tracks include short samples taken from "Mr. Rodgers", "The Transformers", "MASK", and "Don Lonie Talks With Teenagers"
At the time I made this album, I had just dropped out of the science program at Evergreen State College, so I was still rather technically disciplined. My primary influence is the underground electronic music of the ‘93-’95 era.
Special props to Terry Kelly of the Green River Community College radio program: “Freak Beat” (now long defunct). Also, props to Peter Randlette and the Hybrid Music crew at TESC. Big hello to Discovery (Jose) of Seattle, and Maui. Also to Cool Hand Luke, we miss your KAOS show!
