ABOVEGROUND was formed four years ago by two musicians, Ryan Blackmore [vocals, drums] and Jason Lester [guitar], with a common dream to create music that would fill a void they felt was present in the alternative music industry. They struggled for years to find the "missing links" that would have the same dreams, desires and level of commitment that they both had. They wanted to find serious musicians who not only shared a common vision but would form a brotherhood that would last a lifetime. Muscians came and went but they have finally been able to form that brotherhood with Christian Hargrove on guitar and Chance Hargrove on bass who ironically happen to be brothers.
