His compositions test the boundaries of popular music art by combining unpredictable and spontaneous composition with melodic appeal. | Artist History Krispen Hartung’s musical background is an experimental and continuously evolving road trip marked by many excursions and detours - from formal classical guitar instruction at age 12 to axe slinging, technical progressive rock in the 80s…and from art rock and fusion in the 90s to traditional jazz and avant-garde in the new millennium. Hartung now exhibits a dynamic and atypical performance style that integrates multiple genres and gives new meaning to the world of improvisational guitar.
