Formed in January 2004, Scarlet Room is vocalist Aleksandra Weil, drummer Eloise Govedare, guitarist Jim Rushing, and bassist Kris Darr. Scarlet Room’s music is filled with dynamics, blending sensitive melody with heavy riffs and stomping rhythms. Their lyrics are an integral part of each song, and are bold and fearless. Every song works intimately with the music and words to bring forth its message to the fullest. Scarlet Room’s lyrics urge people to step out of their comfort zone and pay attention to the details surrounding them, both the beauty of life and the destruction that threatens it. Scarlet Room originated with Aleksandra and Eloise. The two best friends, both classically trained on the piano, took their love of song writing, and together developed a distinct musical vision. After several years of writing material, the duo finally began to seek members to complete a full band. Kris was first to join, writing on both bass and guitar, but when Jim joined, Kris resumed the role of bass player and Jim took over as the band’s official guitarist. Since then, Scarlet Room has continued to write, promote, and perform. Their undeniable chemistry as musicians, and the unique power surging from their music, makes them a force that will not go unnoticed.
