The Porchdaddies - Hendersonville, NCAppalachian Bandwidth - CD Review by Pat Ferris From the Appalachian Mountains in central North Carolina, a relatively new acoustic duo going by the name of "The Porchdaddies" is emerging on the live scene after releasing two EPs, with their first Internet release entitled Appalachian Bandwidth. With an obvious influence ranging from Grisman/Garcia to Bread, the dueling acoustics of Stephen Quigley and Michael Babb make for excellent easy listening mood music, ranging from light acoustic melodys and dreamy, mind-altering lyrics to tribal drum-circle percussion you might find at a Rainbow gathering. The Porch Daddies' diverse style give the listener an appreciation for their range of influences and make Appalachian Bandwidth something that would suit the musical library of just about anybody.
