The Regulators, a long time staple of the Southern Rock arena from the Los Angeles area, have been rocking audiences across America for over 17 years, establishing a growing fan base and becoming one of the country's best-known biker favorites. Their 2002 release, Bar & Grill, is a collection of hard-driving Southern-fried rock with the distinctive double lead guitar, Hammond B3 and electric slide guitar work. The first few seconds of Breakin' Out, the first cut on Bar & Grill, sets the tone for the album. There were several cuts on the CD I thought were exceptional. Above the Law was my favorite cut...excellent lyrics, hooks and arrangement. I listened to every song twice thru to get a real feel for Bar & Grill, and was impressed with the consistency of the songs. The Regulators aren't a 'one-hit-wonder' band, but are able to crank out one good song after the next, making for a well rounded CD and a band that (obviously) has staying power. Record Heaven Music from Sweden will be releasing The Regulators: Above the Law, which is a re-master and remix of the cuts from Bar & Grill plus the bonus track, Leadfoot (available in Europe only). The Regulators really are the real deal. Bar & Grill is solid enough to compete with any major label release, and worth checking out. For more information on The Regulators, CLICK HERE |
