Jeff
Naideau - New Orleans, LouisianaHeaven on a Half Shell By Pat Ferris Jeff Naideau registered himself on our site sometime late in 2001, and unfortunately, I became aware of Jeff Naideau's contribution to the world of music after I had the opportunity to thank him. Jeff passed away June 17th 2002, leaving behind a shell of a website, two incredible CDs and a legacy in the New Orleans music arena. Jeff studied and attempted to master the musical methods of Professor Longhair, Eddie Bo, James Booker and Dr. John. He was an excellent songwriter and pianist with a gritty and soulful voice that made him a name in the New Orleans music circle. His last release, ironically entitled Heaven on a Half Shell, was an excellent follow up to his debut release in 1995. His official homepage had several low-band streams from Heaven on a Half Shell, but Might as well be guilty was the only working MP3 available I could find and was available only on his HotBands.com page. Hopefully, the surviving family and friends will keep his music alive by updating his website and remastering some lost releases. God always takes the best ones for his own band. Rest well my friend, and thank you for being on my site. ~PF For more information on Jeff Naideau, CLICK HERE |
