London's Dave Stokes is truly a master of guitar...one that is able to create unimaginable soundscapes that takes your mind to other realms.

His solo release Coded Constellations is an instrumental album of jazz, rock and ambient soundscapes, featuring Stoke's amazing abilities as a guitarist, composer and arranger. Dave Stokes guitar abilities are nothing short of blistering, but he has a subtlety that showcases his guitar prowess without over-playing. Of the eight tracks I heard, each was unique in arrangement. Comparisons have been unsurprisingly made with Joe Satriani, who is the closest equivalent I could offer to describe Dave Stokes' music.

His page at MP3.com offers only one complete track from his CD, but that one track has been streamed over 3300 times, and gives the listener a taste of Stokes' music, production quality and arranging style. Coded Constellations is a CD I recommend for anybody that enjoys dreamy ambient music, and appreciates world-class guitar work.
