Orquesta INFINIDAD - Tampa, FLEl Rio - CD Review By Patrick Ferris From the opening notes of their most recent CD, El Rio, Orquesta INFINIDAD's big, brassy sound sets them aside as a dominant band in the Latin music genre. This 11 piece band led by Cuban born trumpeter Pedro Bullaudy draws on a multitude of Latin music influences, performing all songs in Spanish and bringing to life the romance and excitement that defined the zenith of the Cuban jazz era. The band consists of a male and a female vocalist, keyboards, bass, three percussionists and a brass section of two trumpets, trombone and sax, that play with a tightness and power that rivals jazz great, Tito Puente. El Rio has nine original compositions that clearly shows the level of professionalism that has earned Orquesta INFINIDAD the ability to perform at such venues as the Super bowl in Tampa, Clearwater's Jazz Holiday and Miami's Calle Ocho. If you're looking for something exciting and fresh, El Rio is a CD that sets a standard for modern Latin jazz. For more information on Orquesta INFINIDAD, CLICK HERE |
